Fairfax County internal affairs is looking into a recently released cell phone video that appears to show a county police officer using a taser on a African American man who was complying with him. The suspect who was tased in the back is seen violently falling to ground afterwards. The officer has been placed on leave.

DC records its 117th homicide…

The District of Columbia has registered its 117th homicide over the weekend. One person died in the triple shooting in the Berry Farm neighborhood. Another person is listed in critical condition. Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the person involved in this case.

Donald Trump unveils his tax plan…

Right now, Donald Trump is releasing his long awaited tax plan. During an interview on Sunday’s on “60 minutes” he revealed a small portion of his tax plan. Source say a portion includes some taxpayers getting a zero rate.

DC Mayor unveils a partnership with Howard University to mentor 500 young male students of color…

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser is set to unveil the details of a new initiative entitled “500 for 500: Mentoring Through Literacy Program”. The goal of the partnership with the City, DC Public Schools & Howard University, is to find 500 volunteer’s to mentor 500 young male students. Tonight’s 6pm press conference will be held on campus inside the auditorium at the School of Social Work.
