One down one more to go, The Senate approves stop gap budget bill to avert a Gov’t shutdown…

The Senate has approved a stop gap spending bill this morning. The country is now a step closer to avoiding a Government shutdown. The bill now heads to the House. Sources say the bill will pass. The Bi Partisan measure will only fund the Federal Government and Planned Parenthood until December. 11th. The deadline for a deal is midnight tonight.

Thousands of students in Prince George’s County can now be denied access to school…

Starting today School Officials in Prince George’s County can start turning students away who have not proved they have had all their shots. Earlier this week it was revealed that over 3000 current students have not provided proof of immunization. The deadline to do so is today.

Tonight’s DC “State of the Schools” address…

Tonight DC School Chancellor Kia Henderson will deliver her annual “State of the Schools” address. Tonight’s 7pm public event will be held at Dunbar H.S. in NW. The focus will be on the systems priorities and the cities progress towards providing a world class education for all.
