Students at Community College of Philadelphia are being ordered to stay in doors, this following a report of a man with a gun on campus. We will keep you up to date on this developing report.

Police in Arlington fear more than one sexual predator may be on the loose…

Police in Arlington, Virginia may be looking for one than one sexual predator on the loose. There have been nine sexual assaults in the area since July. The most recent was a 23 year old woman on Saturday along North Scott Street.

DC leaders receive a bill on Universal Paid Family Leave…

The DC City Council has a full and busy day. Right now, Council Member David Grosso and 6 of his colleagues are presenting a bill for Universal Paid leave for part and full time workers in the District. Grosso says its a continuation of a program already put in place for DC Government employee’s. The bill call for full pay for up to 16 weeks for part and full time DC employee’s. The program would be funded by new fee’s tacked on to local businesses. Council Member Grosso is hoping to have the bill approved and in effect by next year.

DC City Council set to vote on a plan to address the ambulance shortage…

The City Council is also set to vote today on whether or not to allow a private ambulance company to come in and service non emergency calls 24 hours a day. If approved, the plan which is supported by Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Fire Chief Gregory Dean it would only be for one year.

Things could get worse for residents in South Carolina…

The State on South Carolina is dealing with historic flooding. Right now the Governor Nikki Haley is holding a press conference updating residents on what is being done. Sources say the worst is yet to come. Over 40,000 residents are without water or drinking water. Over 500 roads and bridges are washed out and dozens of communities remain under water. The high flood waters have claimed 13 lives.
