Questions surround the death of a man held by special police in S.E…

Little detail has been released about the death of a S.E. man who was in the custody of two special police at an apartment complex near Good Hope Road. DC Police responding to a call of an assault in progress found 27 year old Alonzo Smith handcuffed, unconscious & not breathing. Smith was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

City leaders approve a plan to close DC General Homeless Shelter…

DC Leaders have voted in favor of closing down the notorious DC General Homeless Shelter. Six smaller, cleaner and safer shelters will replace the site. At present about 700 families live in the shelter. The decision to close the shelter comes a year after 8 year old Relisha Rudd disappeared from the site. She remains missing today.

A new Quinnipiac national polls is giving GOP Presidential Candidate Ben Carson not only the lead over everyone in his party but if the election was held today he would defeat Democratic Front Runner Hilliary Clinton 50% to Clinton’s 40%.

16 and 17 year old’s in the district could soon possibly vote for president. yesterday ward 6 council member Charles Allen introduced the bill is entitled “the youth vote amendment act of 2015, that if approved would make that a reality.
