All eye’s are on the President’s White House address on new gun regulations…

Right now President Barack Obama is detailing his controversial guns reform plan in the East Room of the White House. The President blames Congress for their inaction on gun control laws. The Presidents plan reportedly calls for online and gun show vendors to register their weapons. The Commander and Chief is also asking Congress to hire 200 new ATF investigators to help enforce new and existing gun laws.

The DC City Council holds a public meeting on the Mayor’s Crime plan…

The DC City Council is meeting right now. Leaders are holding a public meeting on a part of Mayor Muriel Bowser’s Crime plan, which calls for the District to pay for security camera’s for small businesses. It’s apart of Bowser’s plan to make the city safer. The Bowser Administration has criticized the council for not acting on her bill that she submitted in September. Some on the council say they do not have any proof her plan would actually work.

Prince George’s County Police discover a man’s body in a car at a park…

Police in Prince George’s County are looking into the discovery of a man’s body found in a parked car in Greenbelt. An officer on patrol last night made the gruesome discovery in a parking lot at Schrom Hills Park. The officer also found a second man in the park who stated that he had been robbed. The investigation into this bizarre case is on going.

Death of a Medstar Washington patient ruled a homicide…

No charges have been filed in the death of a Medstar Washington Patient detained last year by two security guards. The DC Medical Examiner has ruled the death of 74 year old James McBride a homicide. The report shows he died as the result of a broken neck. The two security guards involved no longer work for the hospital.
