Dozen’s file suit against Metro on the 1 year anniversary of the smoke death at L’Enfant Plaza…

Today is the one year anniversary of the deadly smoke accident on Metro’s Yellow Line at L’Efant Plaza. This morning 87 separate lawsuits were filed in connection to that incident. That does not include the suit from the family of 61 year old Carol Glover who died. Her family has filed a $50 million dollar suit.

New details released in DCPS Former Athletic Director audit….

An internal audit of the office of DC Public Schools former Athletic Director shows bags of cash were found sitting on the floor, more than $32,000 dollars in fact. The report also found a number of fundraising events were the money from them were not deposited until weeks after the events. The report did not mention former Althletic Director Stephanie Evans by name, she resigned last month following claims of mismanagement of money.

Search continues for two in this mornings shooting in Charles County…

Police in Charles County are still looking for those responsible in this mornings murder of man found in a home on Terrance Drive. Two other men were found injured in the home. The search is on for two masked men who reportedly fled from the home.

President Obama delivers his last “State of the Union Address” tonight…

President Barack Obama is set to deliver his last “State of The Union Address”. Tonight’s 9 O’clock address will reportedly be up beat and focus on his accomplishments with health care reform and the economy and his plans for the future involving immigration reform and tightening gun laws.
