Police continue to investigate a serious accident in Largo…

As many as 5 people were seriously hurt in this morning 7 car accident at Route 202 at Lottsford Road. The victims have not been identified.

The search for local lottery winners continues…

We are still looking for the (3) $1 Million Dollar Maryland Powerball ticket holders. The tickets were purchased at the Amaco in Capitol Heights, a 7’11 in Bladensburg and a Wawa in Frederick. There were also 2 $1 Million dollar winners in Salem and Virginia Beach, Virginia. In DC, two $50, 000 tickets were sold, one at Tenley Market in N.W. and Dave Brown Wine in N.E.. Three of the big 1.6 (b) Powerball tickets were sold in Tennessee, Florida and California.

DC City Council holds a hearing on paid family leave…

Right now, the DC City Council is holding a hearing on the impacts of a bill that if approved would give the District the most generous paid leave program in the country. One big issue, is that businesses would have to foot the bill via an increase in payroll taxes.

DC police choose a new union leader…

The District will soon have a new person leading the Fraternal Order of Police. In a surprise move DC Police voted overwhelmingly to remove current leader Delroy Burton and replace him with Sgt. Matthew Mahl. Mahl who is an 11 year Veteran of the force will take office April 1st. In addition Burton’s Vice Chair and Secretary also lost. The leadership change will reportedly improve the relationship with Chief Lanier and Mayor Bowser.

For a time, Taylor even spoke with a British accent. Well now she resides in the DC area and for the past three years has worked as the news anchor for The Steve Harvey Morning Show on WHUR.
