Frosty temps remain in the metro

The Wind Chill advisory has been lifted but is has not help to make it feel any warmer outside. We are looking for it too feel like between 5 and 10 below zero today and tomorrow morning. We will see sunshine and warm up to about 37 on Friday. DC’s Emergency Cold Weather plan is in place through tomorrow. Several additional community shelters have opens for families in need. President Obama continues his 3 state tour ahead of his State of the Union Address

President Barrack is now in Phoenix, Arizona. He’s there talking about the major recovery to the UP.SE. housing market due to legislation pushed by his administration. Friday the Commander and Chief will head to Tennessee to talk about his education initiatives. The State of The Union Address is Tuesday, January 20th.

The man linked in the disappearance of UVA student Hannah Graham appears in court

Jessie Matthew is due to appear in a Fairfax county courtroom today for a motion hearing. The judge in his rape trail will decide if camera’s will be allowed in the court room for the March trail. The rape charges stemming from an attack on a woman in 2005.

U.S. Olympic Committee set to pick a U.S. city finalist today

DC Officials are waiting with baited breathe on whether they will be selected to compete for the 2024 Olympic’s. The U.S. Olympic Committee that is meeting in Denver plan to unveil their decision later today. Los Angeles, San Francisco and Boston are also in the running.

For a time, Taylor even spoke with a British accent. Well now she resides in the DC area and for the past three years has worked as the news anchor for The Steve Harvey Morning Show on WHUR.
