DC police look into rape claim at Sidwell Friends…

District Police are still looking into a disturbing claim by a female student at the prestigious private school Sidwell Friends that she was raped this week by a fellow student on campus. The alleged sexual assault happened Wednesday after school. No arrests have been made.

Raven’s player listed in critical condition following dirt bike accident in Miami…

Raven corner back Tray Walker remains in critical condition at a hospital in Miami, despite under going hours of surgery. The 23 year old was riding a dirt bike without light when it collided with an SUV. Police say alcohol, drugs and speed were not factors in the crash.

Metro’s GM admits he was willing to step down if the shutdown was not approved…

A day after the historic 29 hour closure of Metro rail –and we are learning from news sources that General Manager Paul Wiedefeld was ready to step down if his closure was not supported by the transit agency board. Wiedefeld is also warning employee’s that he will fire anyone not complying with the new safety changes.
Wiedefeld says he will continue to focus now on how conditions got so bad and how to to prevent it in the future.
