Newborn is found outside in the cold…

A newborn baby has been found outside in the cold this morning. Hagerstown Police say the child was left in the freezing cold on the back porch of a home on Frederick Street. The infant that was wrapped in a plastic bag has been rushed to Children’s Hospital. There’s no word on the child’s condition.

Vigil held for Largo teen killed at Deanwood Metro Center…

At 7 tonight friends, family and the community will gather for a vigil to honor the memory of 15 year old Devonte Washington who was shot and killed by a stranger at the Deanwood Metro Station. 17 year old Maurice Bellamy of S.E. has been charged as an adult in his murder. DC Police Chief Lanier says Metro security camera’s help solved the case. Bellamy who remains in jail without bond is due back in court in two weeks.

You can now text for help in Prince George’s County…

In Prince George’s County you can now text 911 for help. Leaders in Prince George’s County have made some major upgrade to the system and starting today, if you can use your cell phone to call for help, you can text 911 for fire or police.
