Police in Va. arrest a 17 year old for the murder of another teen…

A 14 year old from Woodbridge Virginia is dead this morning. Allegedly at the hands of a 17 year old. Police say the victim died due to blunt force trauma. It happened last night in the 15,000 block of Brazil Circle in a home that two separate families were sharing.

Public schools are put on alert about transgender students having access to the bathroom of their choice…

Later today the Obama administration will order public schools across the nation to let transgender students use the bathroom of their choice or face loosing millions in federal funds. The Justice Department and Department of Education plan to send letters to school districts today with Q&A regarding best practices. The decision is getting mixed reactions. GOP presumptive Presidential Candidate Donald Trump weighed in on the issue on Fox News’ “Fox and Friends”. He believes it should be up to the state.

A friend of Freddie Gray testifies in the trial of Officer Nero…

In Baltimore a friend of Freddie Gray who witness the arrest is on the witness stand right now. Brandyn Ross identified officer Edward Nero as one of three officers who threw Gray into the back of the police van head first, while he was handcuffed and shackled. Nero who faces assault and misconduct charges face 15 years in prison if found guilty of the charges against him.

Look for higher water bills if you live in Maryland…

Maryland residents one of our utility bills is about to go up. WSSC has been given the approval for a 3% rate hike. In addition a new quarterly infrastructure fee will go up to $12 a quarter. The price changes will go into effect on July 1st.

Starting next month it will cost you more to park in DC…

DC parking meter fee’s are going to go up starting June 1st. It will cost $2.30 an hour now to park in non commercial areas around the city. The hike will net the city an additional $2 million dollars more a year.
