Nero is found “Not Guilty”….

‘Not Guilty” that’s what a Baltimore Judge ruled just moments ago in the case of Police Officer Edward Nero in the death of Freddie Gray. Judge Barry Williams’ read each of the 4 charges against Nero and he said that the prosecution failed to prove without a shadow of a d ought that Nero committed anything illegally or intentionally to do harm to Gray. Community leaders & Representative Elijah Cummings are asking the public to remain calm. The next Baltimore City Officer to go on trial in the death of Freddie Gray is set for June 6th.

U.S. Supreme Court overturns 30 year old death sentence because A.A.’s were not allowed in the jury selection process…

The Supreme Court is stepping into a 1986 death sentence conviction of an A.A Georgia man and throwing out the verdict. The justices have ruled that the prosecution intentionally kept African American’s out of the jury selection process. In a 7 to 1 ruling death row inmate Timothy Foster was granted permission for a new trial.

Hazing trial for a former Bowie State student begins…

Today the fraternity hazing trail involving a former Bowie State Student and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity begins. Kevin Hayes 2013 lawsuit claims that the fraternity should have done more to make sure hazing was not taking place on campus. Hayes who says he was spanked with a wooden paddle, beaten and body slammed while pledging, is seeking $3 million dollars. Bowie State is not named in the suit.

Health Official warn Zika mosquito’s are coming to American, next month…

The mosquito that carries the Zika virus could arrive in the U.S. earlier than expected, possibly starting next month. That what the head of the National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Disease Anthony Fauci is saying. Reportedly two species will enter our country one will affect the South and the other will affect the East Coast. Lawmakers remain unclear where and how much funds should be used to track & fight it. President Barack Obama is against a plan to take money from Ebola funds to go towards Zika. Currently over 500 American’s have the virus that causes infants to be born with smaller heads. They contracted the virus while traveling to country’s dealing with the outbreak or through sexual intercourse.
