Still no identity of the man shot by police in N.E…

The name of the man shot and kille by DC Police has not be released. Reports indicate the suspect had a gun and was pointing it at police when he was shot in the 100 Block of Varnum Street, N.E.. The weapon turned out to be a BB gun.

Walter Fauntroy agree’s to answer to fraud charges in Prince George’s County…

Lawyers for former DC Delegate Walter Fauntroy says he will be released from jail in Virginia and returned to his family after a brief court appearance today. Fauntroy has agreed to answer to fraud charges in Prince George’s County next month. He wanted for writing a bad check for a 2009 Obama Inauguration Gala that never took place.

The House’s report on Benghazi has been released, Hillary Clinton bears the brunt of the criticism…

The long awaited Republican report by the House Benghazi Committee has been released. The 800 page document is highly critical of the Obama Administration, specifically Hillary Clinton. This is panel’s chairman, S.C. Congressman Trey Gowdy claim’s the administration failed to respond quickly to the terror attacks on U.S. sites in Benghazi in 2012. The attack claimed 4 American lives, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.

Metro prepares rides for the next phase of “Safe Track”…

At 1 this afternoon Metro’s General Manager Paul Wiedefeld and other metro leaders will update the public on the next phase of the system’s “System’s Safe Track Plan”. Starting July 5th – 11th Blue and Yellow line trains will not run between Braddock Road and National Airport.
