Lawyers for some of the metro riders affected by Mondays smoke inhalation incident announce plans to sue

A Press Conference was held earlier this morning by the law firm handling the lawsuit that will be filed against Metro following Mondays fatal smoke inhalation incident at the L’Enfant Plaza Metro Station. Several of the victims are taking part in the suit that will be formally filed on Friday.

Gratitude from the family of Carol Glover, killed on Metro Monday

The family of Carol Glover, the woman who died on the train at the L’Enfant Plaza Metro Station on Monday says they are eternally greatful to Jonathan Rogers and two others who performed CPR on her to no avail for 20 minutes before help arrived.

Officials release the emergency response time line

District Officials have released the emergency response time line related to Mondays L’Enfant Plaza fatal incident. It shows the first call of smoke came at 3:14 pm, several calls followed. EMS arrived at 3:25 pm. They were not told it was safe to go into the tunnel until 3:44 pm. The report does not say when first responders reached the stranded commuters. We know that the woman who later died was among the first to leave the train, she was transported to George Washington at 4:25 pm.

U.S. Capitol terrorist suspect due in court tomorrow

The 20 year old Ohio man arrested yesterday for plotting a terrorist attack on the U.S. Capitol is due for a court hearing tomorrow. Christopher Cornell who recently converted to Islam, was arrested outside of a gun shop after he purchased two assault riffles and 600 rounds of ammunition.
