Black Lives Matter protestors in DC vowing to stay for 28 hours…

We are keeping a close eye on a Black Lives Matter protest at 3rd and Massachusetts Avenue near Union Station. Right now, police are letting them block the street and side walk along the 300 block of Massachusetts Avenue & the entrance of the Fraternal Order of Police. The protestors plan to remain their for the next 28 hours, the same amount of time that police let Michael Brown’s body lay in the street in Ferguson.

N.O.B.L.E. marched onto H.U. campus in memory of officer killed in the line of duty…

Hundreds of black law enforcement officers held a march of their own to Howard University’s Cramton Auditorium where a memorial service wrapped up earlier. The organization The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives also known as N.O.B.L.E. hosted the march and service afterwards. The group is currently holding its annual training conference in the District.

The RNC continues in Cleveland with a new focus today…

It’s day two of the Republican National Convention. The theme is “Making American First Again”. Meantime, for the first time ever, the U.S Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has endorsed a candidate for the general election they have chosen Hillary Clinton. Clinton is also close to naming her running mate. The Democratic National Convention starts next week in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
