DC police release a second image of a person of interest in Sunday’s Metro bus shooting

Investigators in the District have released a second image of a person of interest in yesterday’s shooting on the X2 Metro bus in Northwest. The image is of a woman seen with the first person of interest. The victims suffered serious but non life threatening injuries. One was shot in the hand and the other in the thigh.

Six members of a family remain missing following a massive house fire in Annapolis

Six members of one family remain missing this hour. Overnight fire crews were called to thief 16, 000 square foot waterfront home in Annapolis. The family, IT Executive Don Pyle, his wife and their four grandchildren were believed to be home at the time of the fire. The home was still smoldering this hour and sources say it could be several days before they are able to safely search the massive structure.

The President prepares for tonight “State of the Union Address”

Tonight the nation will hear from the Commander and Chief on his agenda for the next two years. President Barack Obama will deliver his 6th “State of the Union Address” tonight at 9pm. The focus, cutting taxes for the middle class, paid sick leave, free college and immigration. Road closures will begin tonight at 7 in and around the U.S. Capitol.

IRS says you can now file your taxes

Starting today you can now submit your 2014 taxes to the IRS —it’s 11 days earlier than last year. The tax agency has cut down on the number of live customer service reps but they agency still estimates that electronic filers should receive their checks within 21 days. The average refund is around $2,800.
