Two killed in Silver Spring explosion…

Rescue efforts continue at the site of last night’s powerful exposition at a Silver Spring apartment building. Montgomery County leaders are holding a a news conference this hour updating the community on the investigation. Two people are confirmed dead, as many as 5 are still unaccounted for. 90 have been displaced. The cause remains unknown.

It’s that time of year again. DC Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes-Norton annual job fair is going on right now at the Washington Convention Center. Hundreds of employers from DC, MD & Va are taking part. The event for DC residents only runs until 3 this afternoon.

MetroAccess driver charged with sexually assaulting a disabled female passenger on his bus…

A MetroAccess driver has been charged with allegedly sexually assaulting a female passenger with intellectual disabilities. Derrick Bowen was charged after a passerby notice the bus he was driving parked in a church parking lot on Claxton Drive in Laurel on Tuesday. The witness called police after she saw the driver walk to the back of the bus and engage in a sexual act with the only female passenger in the vehicle.
