The Head Start Program in Prince George’s County could be shut down this year…

School starts in Prince George’s County on August 23rd however the county’s Head Start program may not. The Administration for Children & Families have begun the process of shutting the early childhood development program down because of concern over accountability and discipline methods used by teachers on children. The county has 30 days to respond and possibly prevent the program from ending for hundreds of children between the ages of 3 and 5.

More bacteria found inside of Prince George’s Hospital…

It appears that the potentially fatal bacterial found in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has been found in another area of The Prince George’s Hospital. Officials are not stating were. The hospital remains open as cleaning crews address this new bacteria.

The state of Md releases the name of 15 companies that will grow & process medical marijuana…

The names of the first 15 companies to win preliminary approval by the state of Maryland to grow and process medical marijuana have been released. The State’s Medical Cannabis Commission says the companies are spread out throughout the state. Final license approval for the companies will not come for another year or so.
