It’s a waiting game as Congressional leaders face a Friday deadline date to pass a budget bill for DHS….

House speaker John Boehner is not commenting on a proposal
by Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell to craft a bill that
would fund the Homeland Security Department without
language that would change the executive action taken by
President regarding immigration reform. Boehner says he is
waiting to see what the Senate does before responding on what
lawmakers in the house will do. DHS is preparing for a partial
government shutdown this Friday.

A top State Department Official is charged with soliciting sex from a minor….

The Director of Counter Terrorism at the State Department is behind bars right now for allegedly soliciting a minor for sex. 44 year old Daniel Rosen of the District, is accused of communicating online with an undercover Fairfax County Police Officer from their Child Exploitation Unit who was posing as a child. Rosen will soon be extradited to Virginia in the coming days.

Pay raises are on the way for leaders in Arlington…

Pay raises are on the way for Arlington County Officials. The “Washington Post” is reporting the county board has approved a 3.35 percent increase for top officials. The decision for example will increase the salary of the County Manager to more that 269-thousand dollars a year.
