Winter Weather Advisory ends…

The National Weather Service plans to lift our “Winter Weather Advisory” today at Noon. The early morning snow fall along with the below zero temperatures caused many school systems to delay or cancel classes all together. Snow totals were as predicted between 2 and 4 inches in parts of the metro.

Three New York men arrested for plotting to join ISIS…

Three Brooklyn New York men are now in police custody in New York for allegedly planning to leave the U.S. to join ISIS forces is Syria. One suspect admitted to police that he would have tried to kill President Obama if he was ordered by ISIS to do so. Another expressed an interest in getting machine guns to shoot and kill cops at random here in the U.S.

Congress scrambles to avert the partial shutdown of DHS…

Congressional leaders on both sides are reporting trying ot hammer out a funding bill to avert a partial government shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security. The looming deadline is Friday at midnight. Leaders have a few options they can agree on a temporary fix and fund DHS for a few days, they can decided to fully fund the department or they can both stand their ground and allow the agency to shutdown.

The terrorist know as Jihadi John is identified…

The BBC is reporting this morning that the ISIS terrorist known as Jihadi John is a British citizen by the name of Mohammed Emwazi. The news outlet is also reporting that they believe he is the mask man that beheaded American journalist James Foley.
