USPS unveils new Maya Angelou stamp…

The US Postal Service is holding a special unveiling right now of the Maya Angelou stamp today at the Warner Theatre. The event is free and open to the public. There is some controversy however over a quote on the stamp that some say she did not say first.

Galludet students protest sexual assaults on campus today….

Students from Galludet University are preparing to protest sexual assaults and domestic violence on campus today. It’s apart of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Today’s protest follows “The Washington Post” article that listed the University number one in the nation for sexual assaults per capita.

Rand Paul announces run for the White House…

Anytime now Rand Paul will formally announce his quest to run for President in 2016. The Kentucky Senator who’s seeking the Republican nod, is expected to deliver a speech before his supporters in Louisville.

Growing up in a military family, Taylor Thomas lived overseas until she was 16 years old. She called places such as Great Britain and the Philippines home. For a time, Taylor even spoke with a British accent. Well now she resides in the DC area and for the past three years has worked as the news anchor for The Steve Harvey Morning Show on WHUR. Recently, Taylor has adopted the Washington Redskins as her most loved pro sports team.
