Funeral services have begun for Freddie Gray, thousands are in attendance…

Right now in Baltimore funeral services for Freddie Gray are taking place at New Shiloh Baptist Church.  Thousands have flocked to the city to pay their respect, including the Rev. Jesse Jackson. The White House has also sent 3 representatives. In the wake of protest that turned violent over the weekend the Gray family and the Mayor of Baltimore are asking for calm. Police still have not released why Gray was stopped and arrested. Freddie Gray will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Loretta Lynch is sworn into office today…

Right now, here in the District of Columbia, the swearing in process for the country’s new Attorney General, Loretta Lynch is taking place. VP President Joe Biden is leading the ceremony. Once in office Lynch will become the first African American woman to hold the position.

Prince George’s County Police are still investigating a body found in a burning car…

In Prince George’s County Police are still investigating the discovery of a body found in a burning car at The Enterprise Golf Course in Mitcheville. Detectives have not released the gender of the victim or the cause of death.
