DC Fire Fighter dies after battling a blaze on 7th Street, NW…

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser has just wrapped up a press conference at Med Star hospital announcing the death of a fire fighter in the line of duty. Lt. Kevin McRae died after helping to put out a two alarm blaze this morning on the 9th floor of an apartment building on 7th Street in NW. Two others firefighters and two residents suffered serious but non life threatening injuries.

Maryland Governor says Baltimore is still under a “State of Emergency”…

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan held a press conference earlier this hour to inform residents that the city of Baltimore is still under “State of Emergency”. Governor Hogan says that he can not lift that status until all National Guard soldier have left the area.

Baltimore Mayor announces that the D.O.J. will investigate the police department…

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake held a press conference to announce a partnership with the Department of Justice to change the city’s police force. The Justice Department will look into reports of police brutality and discrimination. She also stated Baltimore City Police will have body camera’s by the end of the year.
