Several shootings in the area puts police on heightened alert…

DC Police are investigating a fatal case of road rage this morning on Northbound 295. One person is dead and another person was rushed to the hospital. There’s not alot of details regarding the case other than two males were shot by someone in another vehicle. Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area and may have possibly seen what happened to contact them at 202-727-9099.

DC Police make several arrests following a robbery, chase and shooting this morning…

District 7 police are investigating a robbery, police chase and crash that started in Prince George’s County and ended in the District at 25th and Palmer Road. Several arrests have been made. One person is believed to have gotten away.

Prince George’s County Council pushes back their 2016 Budget vote…

This mornings scheduled 11 a.m. Prince George’s County Council 2016 Budget vote has been pushed back to 1 p.m. The County Council will discuss County Executive Rushern Baker’s ambitious proposal. Yesterday Baker made a surprise announcement to lower his $133 (M) request for schools to $65 (M) dollars. Some sources say the council may support at 5% property tax increase for school funding.
