The Maryland General Assembly returns to Annapolis today. Maryland Governor Larry Hogan plans to ask lawmakers to approve a proposal to set term limits for state General Assembly members of two consecutive 4-year terms. Hogan wants the referendum to go before voters in the November election.

Federal judge in San Francisco halts Trump administration DACA stoppage…

A federal judge in San Francisco has ruled that the Trump Administration must continue renewing DACA applications until a court ruling on the matter is made. The Obama era program protects some 800 illegal immigrants brought to the country as a child from being deported. Trump plans to let the legislation expire in March.

The DC City Council approves health care coverage for women…

The DC City Council has passed a bill that will allow women in the District to obtain birth control without a Doctors prescription. The measure will also ensure that they maintain the benefits under the Affordable Care Act. The measure heads to the Mayor’s desk for approval.
