NYC Mayor Says Time Square Crash Doesn’t Appear To Be Terrorism

A car crashed into the corner of Broadway and 45th Street in New York’s Times Square after ploughing through a crowd of pedestrians at lunchtime on Thursday. Police do not suspect a link to terrorism and the driver was taken into custody to be tested for alcohol. 22 people were injured and one young lady was killed in the accident.

NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio said, “at this time it doesn’t appear to be terror-related.”

The driver is a US citizen, a former member of the Navy and has no criminal history.

This is a developing story. Please stay tuned for the latest.
