President Trump tweets his choice to lead the FBI

Via Twitter this morning President Donald Trump has announced that he will nominate Christopher A. Wray as the new FBI Director. He replaces fired Director James Comey. Comey, by the way, is due to testify before a Senate Committee tomorrow about his discussions with the President and the Russian probe.

Grief counselors set for Northwestern H.S….

Grief counselors will be on hand at Northwestern High School in Germantown today for students dealing with the loss of two fellow classmates. 17-year-old Shadi Najjar and 18-year-old Artem Ziberov were found shot to death in a car in Montgomery Village a day before they were set to graduate. A 10 thousand dollar reward for information that leads to arrest is being offered. Later today Najjar will be laid to rest.

A DC Council member is calling for a name change for leaders…

If one lawmaker in the District gets his way. The Mayor’s title could change to Governor. At-Large City Council Member David Grosso is proposing that the city change all titles to those that reflect a state. So the Mayor would be called Governor and the City Council would become a legislature. The change would not require Congressional approval.
