Northwestern High School officials accused of drinking at school’s prom

Two assistant principals serving as chaperons at Northwestern High school’s prom are accused of drinking at the school’s May dance. The Prince George’s County school’s principal has been placed on leave as well, but for unrelated issues, according to the Washington Post. All three school officials will be paid while on leave.

DC based Marine shoots himself

An early morning shooting in the District has put a Marine in the hospital. But officials say the shooting was self-inflicted. At happened at the U.S. Marine Barracks in Southeast at 9th and D streets. Officials say the Marine shot himself while standing a post position at the barracks.  Investigators have yet to determine if the Marine meant to shoot himself or if it was an accident. He is listed in fair condition.

One time Trump campaign manager jailed

Former Trump campaign chief Paul Manafort will be spending some time in jail. A federal judge revoked Manafort’s bail today after he was charged with witness tampering.  Manafort was indicted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller in October for conspiracy and money laundering and has been on house arrest since then.
