Seven thousand shoes will be placed outside of U.S. Capitol…

The activist group Avaaz has placed seven thousand shoes on the South East side of the U.S. Capitol. The reason to bring attention to lawmakers of the number of children killed because of gun violence since the 2012 Sandy Hook School shooting. Organizers say leaders must do something to protect children.

Tomorrow is National School Walkout Day, some systems are not in support…

There is a call for a National School Walkout tomorrow at 10. The act marks the one month anniversary of the deadly Florida High School shooting. Prince George’s and Montgomery County School officials support the act but students must remain on campus for the 17 minutes of silence for each of the people killed.

Search is on for suspect who took a Special Officers weapon in DC…

DC Police are actively searching for a shoplifting suspect who got away with the gun of a Special Police Officer working at the Safeway on Benning Road. The two got into a scuffle that’s when the officer’s weapon fell out of its holster and the suspect grabbed it and ran off.
