Singer Leaves Generous Tip At North Carolina Waffle House

Every now and then, you hear about stars using their affluence to make someone’s day brighter. That’s exactly what musician and actor Donnie Wahlberg recently did.

The New Kids on the Block member recently left a $2,000 tip at a Waffle House in Charlotte, NC. The initial bill was only $82.60.

Wahlberg shared the excitement on social media. He also made a Facebook Live video in the restaurant.

He posted, “My mom waited tables, and my dad tended bars, for years! So, when I walk into a Waffle House, and the staff treats me like a king, you better believe I treat them like queens! Thanks to the team at Waffle House in Charlotte.”

He also rewarded his staff with tickets and backstage passes to his concert in Charlotte.

Wahlberg’s generosity definitely isn’t new. In June, he left a $500 tip for Waffle House employees in Edgewood, Maryland. The moment was documented on Twitter.

Wahlberg seems to be a huge fan of the southern breakfast chain. He has captured moments at various Waffle House locations on his Twitter.

He is currently wrapping up the Total Package Tour with Boyz II Men and Paula Abdul.
