President Trump sends harsh words to North Korea…

North Korea’s leader is responding to a threat my President Trump that he will be met with “Fire & Fury” unlike the world has seen if he continue to test nuclear weapons. This morning North Korea says they are seriously considering an attack on the U.S. territory of Guam. Some 6 thousand U.S. soldiers are stationed at a base there.

A fundraiser for an injured rookie DC fire fighter is held in S.E. this morning…

Right now until Noon today hundreds are taking part in a fundraiser for rookie
DC fire fighter Dane Smothers Jr. He was hit last week by a ladder truck while responding to a fire on “F” Street. Today’s event will be held at the Tune In Restaurant in S.E. Dr’s say Smothers injuries are so severe that he will have a long recovery road ahead of him. The funds collected with help with his doctor bills.

Health Officials shut down the birthing center at S.E. United Medical Center…

DC Health Officials have ordered the closure of the prenatal and birthing center at the Southeast United Medical Center. The unexpected announcement comes with no explanation. The closure is for 90 days.
