DC Council approved “Hidden Figures Way”…

The DC City Council voted yesterday and approved a bill to rename a street in front of NASA’s Headquarters Hidden Figures Way.

The street is in honor of Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson. They are the three African American scientists and mathematicians who made historic contributions to space travel in the 1900s.

The women were immortalized in the hit movie “Hidden Figures”. The council will review the bill and a final vote will be made in the next two weeks before going to the Mayor for her signature.
