The search for answers in Thousand Oaks, CA continues…

Ventura County Police and the FBI are continuing to look for a motive to this weeks fatal shooting a the Borderline Bar in Thousand Oaks, California.

The accused gunman Ian Long had a few encounters with Ventura County Police. Officials say that there was nothing they could do because mental health experts say that he did not meet the requirement to be force to undergo a mental evaluation.

Long was 28 year old, a veteran Marine. As a Marine he was a machine gunner. There are reports this morning that one of his high school track coaches said the school’s administration knew he was mentally disturbed.

Three suspects in the Makiyah Wilson murder case are in court…

This morning it was another court date for three suspects charged in the July shooting death of 10 year old Makiyah Wilson. She was shot going to get ice cream from the ice cream truck.

20-year-old Qujuan Thomas, 21-year-old Quentin Michals and 23-year-old Gregory Taylor appeared in DC Superior Court this morning for a preliminary hearing.

In all four men have been charged in Wilson’s death. It was a hot July afternoon when four masked men stepped out of black vehicle and opened fire on a group on 53rd Street in Northeast, hitting and killing 10 year old Makiyah.
