The Senate hopes to avert a government shutdown today…

The Senate has come up with a 2-year spending plan for the Federal Government. Leaders plan to vote on the bi-partisan deal today. It will then head to the House. It’s future there is uncertain because it has no provisions for DACA. It also has no set aside for the President boarder wall.

Police release more shocking news in Oxon Hill H.S. shooting case …

Detectives in the Oxon Hill H.S. student shooting case say the 17-year-old girl arrested with an 18-year-old male, was the victim’s ex-girlfriend. Zanaya Bryant and her male accomplice are due to appear in court on Friday. They face robbery and attempted murder charges as adults.

DC Council meets with Schools Chancellor about graduation rates…

Later today at the Mayor-Council Breakfast, City Council member will seek answers to reports of grade tampering at area schools. On Tuesday Council Member At-Large Robert White sent a letter to DC School Chancellor Antwan Wilson outlining the specific questions they want him to be able to answer.
