Thousands of students plan to take part in National School Walkout…

Hundreds in our area are expected to take part in today’s call for a 10 am National School Walkout. They are demanding changes to the country’s gun laws and they are also honoring the 17 people who were killed one month ago today at a Florida High School. School officials are asking students to stay on campus but we have word that many plan to head to the White House to hold a 17 minute moment of silence in honor of the victims.

Pennsylvania special election could deliver a big blow to President Trump…

Simply put, the Pennsylvania special election is just too close to call. Some 600 votes separate the two. Democrat Conor Lamb is, however, claiming victory over Republican Rick Saccone. Absentee ballots and provisional ballots still have to be counted.

Mayor Bowser prepares for State of The District Address…

Tomorrow at 6 pm at the University of the District of Columbia DC Mayor Muriel Bowser will deliver her State of the District Address. The Mayor is expected to speak of her achievements since in office and her plans to make the city more inclusive for all residents.
