Two police officers are shot in Arizona…
Two police officers have been shot in Tucson, Arizona. One officer is in surgery and the other is reportedly in serious condition. No other details about what lead to this morning’s shootings have been released.
Metro Board leaders say yes to cutting service hours…
WHUR has just learned that a WMATA’s committee looking at the General Manager’s proposed plan to cut service hour for continuous updates has voted. They have approved a reduction in hours for 2 hours, Monday -Thursday from 5am to 11:30pm, on Friday and Saturday Metro will stay open until 1 and on Sunday until 11pm. The Mayor who is not in support with the cuts could veto it. The full Metro Board is set to vote on the proposal in two weeks.

Mayor Muriel Bowser will announce her plan to cut the
number of new HIV cases in the District by 50% by 2020.
2.5 % of Washingtonians are living with HIV.
It’s the President’s last National Christmas tree lighting tonight…
Tonight at 5 the President and The First Lady will
host their last Lighting the National Christmas Tree on the
White House Ellipse. Thousands are expected for the
ticketed only event. The star-studded celebration will cause
road closures near the White House starting at 2:30.
