260 Employees Quarantine After Georgia School Opens

Most school districts are starting to create their reopening plans for the fall semester. Georgia has been leading the charge. Last Wednesday elementary, middle, and high schools across the state have opened to test out their fall 2020 reopening plans. The idea was short lived after 260 district employees were prohibited from entering schools because they either tested positive for COVID-19 or recently came in contact with someone who did.

The spokeswomen for Gwinnett County Public Schools Sloan Roach said “Given the number of [covid-19] cases in Gwinnett, we would expect to see positives among our employees based on the community spread in our county”. The outbreak has obviously complicated things in the county and led to the highest number of Coronavirus cases in the state.
