Study: Link Between Hair Dyes, Straighteners And Breast Cancer

Researchers are suggesting women who like to dye their hair to use semipermanent dye to change their hair color and lower the risk of getting breast cancer.

A new study published by the International Journal of Cancer shows a connection between hair dye and straighteners and Breast Cancer risk for black women.

The report found that the risk of breast cancer increased 45 percent for women of color who use permanent dyes. The risk increased 18 percent for women who used straighteners. Now that risk factor jumped to 31 percent researcher’s found if woman get their hair straightened every 5 to 6 weeks.

Researchers are suggesting women who like to dye their hair to use semipermanent dye to change their hair color and lower the risk of getting breast cancer.
