DC’s School Without Walls-Franics Stevens Black History Month Game Show…

DC’s School Without Walls, doing it for the Culture for Black History Month…

Today I was invited to the School Without Walls -Francis Stevens location on 2425 N Street Northwest. I had the honor of hosting their first “For the Culture Game Show” in celebration of Black History Month.

The auditorium was filled with fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth graders eager to show their knowledge of Black History for prizes and recognition. There were four teams with a representative from each of the classes in each group. There were four rounds of questions. The students chose from one of the following categories: Television/Movies, Sports, Music, History, Social Justice and Education. The winner was 8th grader Alani Diaz. I look forward to returning next year.
