Fairfax County School Employees Charged With Child Abuse

Students with intellectual disabilities abused in Fairfax County Public School

 

(Vienna, VA) — Three Fairfax County public school employees are facing charges after several children with disabilities were allegedly assaulted. Fairfax County police said an investigation found children with intellectual disabilities at Freedom Hill Elementary in Vienna had been assaulted. A grand jury indicted Principal Scott Bloom on a charge of failure to report child abuse. Teacher Clymmera Gastav and her assistant Cecelia Benavides are charged with cruelty and injuries to children and assault and battery.
