The only candidate remaining for police chief in Montgomery County has removed herself from consideration. According to a press release issued from County Executive Marc Elrich, Tonya Chapman sent a letter saying she is withdrawing her name from the process. In the press release, the County Executive Elrich said, “Over the course of the past few months, I have received significant input from the community, and I am confident I will be able to select a new police chief soon.”
