PG Police Officer Indicted For Murder

31-year-old Corporal Michael Owen is charged with 2nd degree murder, manslaughter, use of a handgun, 1st degree assault and misconduct in office for the death of 43-year-old William Green.

A Prince George’s County grand jury has indicted a county police officer in the shooting death of a DC man back in January.   County State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy announced today that 31-year-old Corporal Michael Owen is charged with 2nd degree murder, manslaughter, use of a handgun, 1st degree assault and misconduct in office for the death of 43-year-old William Green.  Green was handcuffed in the front seat of a police cruiser in Temple Hills.  Braveboy says there was movement in the front seat of the cruiser before that shooting and that Green did have PCP in his system, but how much is not known, pending toxicology reports.
