Dog Attack Leaves FT Washington Woman In Grave Condition

A Prince George’s County Police rescued a woman in Ft Washington who was being attacked by two large dogs. The vicious attack happened around 8 pm in the 11000 block of McKay Road.

Officers who responded to a 911 call for help say the dogs turned on them. They had to open fire on both does. One was fatally injured and the other one ran away. The search for that dog continues.

Prince George’s County Police Chief Hank Stawinski is warning the public if they see a stray large dog to call 911 immediately.

The owner of the home who rents it out said her tenant has pit bulls but police have not confirmed the breed of the dogs. Inside the home, a third dog was found in a cage. There is no word on what sparked the attack.
