The DC Metro HBCU Alumni Alliance celebrates the history, achievements and community involvement of historically black colleges and universities.  The Alliance is hosting the Alumni Soiree on Friday, September 8th at The National Museum of Women in the Arts. Harold T. Fisher is a broadcast journalist and author. He is currently the host of the news/talk program, “The Daily Drum” on WHUR-FM and H-U-R Voices, Sirius/XM Channel 141. Highlights of his journalism campaigns include the aftermath of the earthquake in Port Au Prince, Haiti; coverage of the 2008 Democratic and Republican conventions; the Jena 6 protests in central Louisiana; the Midwestern floods of 1994 and hurricane Andrew in 1992.
