Kidnapping Suspect to Face Charges in Virginia

The man suspected in the kidnapping of a Philadelphia nurse will be extradiced to Virginia. 37 year old Delvin Barnes is wanted there for attempted murder, assault and malicious injury.  22 year old Carlesha Freeland-Gaither was found alive last night in Jessup, Maryland.

Mother of Abandoned Baby Identified

Prince George’s County police say the woman who reported finding an abandoned baby in Beltsville, is actually the mother.  The woman told them today that after she gave birth inside her home yesterday she became overwhelmed. No criminal charges are being filed in the case.  The little girl is said to be doing well.

Mother of Missing Children in Montgomery County Not Competent  

A Clarksburg woman charged with the abduction of her two young children is going back to a state mental institution.  During a court appearance today In Rockville,  Catherine Hoggle said the two and three-year children are alive and she could lead police to them.  The judge didn’t allow that. He said the woman is profoundly mentally ill and not competent.
