Pride Month and the LGBTQ Community

June is pride month. It’s a celebration and commemoration for the LGBTQcommunity.  It’s a commemoration because it honors the June 1969 Stonewall uprising in New York City. The Stonewall Uprising is considered the tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in the United States. But where is the movement today? What are the victories and the challenges for the LGBTQ community now?
