Social Media Hoaxes

If you’re on Facebook, you probably saw an inbox over the past several days. It said something like this….

“Hey, I actually got another friend request from you yesterday… which i ignored… so you may want to check you account.”

It went on to instruct you to forward the message and to not accept friend requests from the sender.  Facebook says it’s a hoax and to ignore it.  Besides being annoying… what’s going on with this message and others like it?  We talk about what’s real and what’s not, on social media and what it means for you.
