The 2019 Disney Dreamers Academy with Steve Harvey and Essence Magazine was an awesome experience for seven students from the DMV.  Out of tens of thousands of applicants, only 100 high school age students from across the country are chosen each year to participate in the Disney Dreamers Academy.

The dreamers  were treated to some of the best mentors and coaching in the country from the likes of, Chef Jeff, Jonathan Sprinkles, Dr. Steve Perry, Mikki Taylor of Essence Magazine, Yolanda Adams,  Brandi and Karli Harvey and of course,  Steve Harvey himself.

Some of the celebrity guests who stopped in were, Marcus Scribner and Miles Brown of the hit show Black-ish and Trevor Jackson from Grown-ish and Ne-Yo made a video appearance and awarded two lucky dreamers with an opportunity to join him in studio to produce music.  They shared their own stories and  the dreamers about staying focused on their dreams and never giving up.were,
