Annual Juneteenth Celebration

This Saturday Prince George’s County Department of Parks and Recreation will host its Annual Juneteenth Celebration, marking the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States.  My guest this morning will be Dr. Dennis Doster – Black History Program Manager for the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission with the Prince George’s County Department of Parks and Recreation.

The Annual Juneteenth Celebration will be Saturday, June 17th from 12pm to 5pm at Walker Mill Regional Park.  The event is family friendly, free, and open to the public. More information here:
