Celebrating The Diverse International Communities in DC

We are taking you around the world without leaving the District.  The DC Department of Parks and Recreation is hosting its Taste of the World Festival this Saturday at Emery Heights Recreation Center.  It’s designed to highlight the diversity of international communities within the city.  Joining me this morning to talk about the significance of this festival is John Stokes – Deputy Director of Community Engagement at the DC Department of Parks and Recreation.

The DC Department of Parks and Recreation is hosting the Taste of the World Festival as a way to highlight the diversity of international communities that live and thrive in DC.  The festival will take place Saturday August 26 at Emery Recreation Center, located at 5701 Georgia Avenue, NW.  For more information go to:  www.dpr.dc.gov
